FREE
AND INEXPENSIVE MATERIALS
Let's face it. School
budgets are being cut more than ever. Teachers are having to
spend their own money on basic supplies. So how we do get those
dollars, whether the school's or our own, to stretch farther? The
following list should give you some ideas. Also included are a
few companies who offer materials at a lower price than most of
their competitors. Please be sure to check them out for yourself. If you have any ideas for this list, please
email them to me so I may add them.

BookCloseOuts.com offers the lowest prices I have seen
for books. In the
publishing trade their product is often called
"remainders". These are books which, in a
previous life, were on the shelves at chain and
independent bookstores around the world. The bookstore
operators needed to make space for new stock, so they
sent these titles back to the publishers. When thousands
of bookstores do this simultaneously, the publishers have
a problem they dont have room for all those
returns, and BookCloseOuts.com is happy to help them out
and pass the savings on to you.

eBay.com
is an excellent source for finding inexpensive materials.
It is an online auction house that is relatively easy to
use. I purchased around 100 paperbacks, some animal
reference books, and some notepads from different people
through eBay. I was pleased with everyone I with whom I
dealt.
